On Wednesday, February 26, “Commercial real estate 2020 – adapt, improve, and sell” conference took place in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) with the participation of Natalia Abroskina – head of GVA Sawyer Retail Department.
Natalia spoke on the topic "Smart tenant management - shopping centre`s competitive advantage" during the session dedicated to the interaction between lessors and lessees of commercial real estate.
In her speech, Natalya highlighted the issues of effective renting relationships, the need to establish systemic tenant-management company relationships as well as the criteria of quality evaluation of shopping centre management companies in a changing market.
The conference also discussed issues relevant to Belarus market: the need to prepare shopping centers marketing budgets, the peculiarities of working with turnover rent and setting KPI of the staff of management companies.
According to Natalia, there is a unique situation in Belarus where retail marketers can, on the one hand, adopt the best practices of Western neighbors, and on the other hand, take into account the peculiarities of the Russian retail real estate market.
That is why speakers from Russia are more and more frequently invited to specialized events in Belarus. In particular, GVA Sawyer specialists regularly act as guest experts in the field of retail real estate.
