Project Manager for a Real Estate Project

GVA Sawyer is looking for an experienced person to fill in the position of a Project Manager for a most exciting development project located in the city of Kotka (Finland) . The Project is a mixed use development on the territory of the Old Port of Kotka, containing an outlet mall, two hotels, residential space, street retail and a marina. The first element under development is an outlet center of the gross area 20 000 m2. The candidate is expected to head the project team of the outlet center and to fulfill the following functions:

• Managing and coordinating the project through all phases of design, permitting and construction.
• Eleborating and managing the program of the project and the project plan.
• Managing the work of the project team and outside contractors.
• Budget, schedule and quality control.
• Design and construction management.
• Identification and evaluation of alternative solutions to best meet program goals.
• Ensureing that the project complies with all building codes and any other legal or regulatory requirements of Finland.
• Participating in and overseeing the preparation of tender documents , pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors, and other outside contractors.
• Interacting with governmental branches and regulatory agencies as required by Finnish regualations.
• Interacting with the utilities providers.
• Reporting to the investor.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related field. 

Experience:  minimum  5 years in the direct management of large, complex real estate projects.

Fluent written and spoken English is a must. Knowledge of Russian is desirable.

Ability to live in Kotka or daily commuting to Kotka.
